New beef farm and dwelling approved in Wiltshire
Posted
Our client current runs two pig units but has branched out into a beef enterprise that his son will be running. RCC are very often involved in expanding existing farms but a new yard with new accommodation is still fairly rare. Whilst we expect to seek farmyards and farm houses as we travel through the countryside we find that a wholly new yard on an undeveloped field can raise many issues that all need to be considered and addressed.
RCC had to bring together a wide team of consultants to address; agricultural need, landscape impact, ecology, transport, drainage, odour and noise. We then have to ensure they are all doing the right work at the right time, no mean feat! We also had to deal with the council planners, their consultees and objectors.
We are however so pleased to have finally had the planning permission issued and our client can now start the hard work of getting the yard up and running.
