Our client wanted to site two of these mobile sheds on their land in Hampshire and had approached RCC to advise on the best approach to take. Whilst these sheds are mobile, and will be moved periodically, case law has in more recently shown that these are now often considered permanent structures that are development (buildings) and need some form of planning permission.
In this instance as we could site the sheds far enough away from neighbouring dwellings we could set out a case as to why they were permitted development and not require a full planning application, instead you go through the prior notification route. We still had to set out sufficient details and set out the planning case in support of the proposal and we were very please when the council came back confirming their lack of objections within the required timescale.
