Common Farm, Great Cheverell
All applications for agricultural workers dwellings are complicated. They need to be presented to the local planning authority with a strongly set out case in the supporting statements. This proposal was for a third dwelling at this dairy farm and as such the challenges were even greater.
RCC met with the extended family which had run the farm for a number of generations before agreeing a clear strategy to take this proposal forward. We submitted an outline planning application to ensure we obtained agreement for the principle and the siting of the additional dwelling before the client incurred expensive detailed drawing costs. That application was approved under delegated powers within the 8 week timescale.
We subsequently continued to act for the applicant and arranged detailed drawings to be prepared to accompany the reserved matters application. That permission was also forthcoming and our clients are now preparing to build the house.
