We had originally attained planning permission to convert a historic chapel building and more recent timber addition into residential use but in implementing the permission the timber section ended up needing rebuilding. Our clients went through all the necessary procedures for building regulations but didn't realise a fresh planning permission was required for the rebuild element.
This was a far from straightforward matter as the relevant local planning policy only allows limited rebuilding but RCC set out a strong case in support of the works undertaken and the planning officer agreed that there was no reason to refuse the planning application and issued the planning permission.
