Before RCC were involved there had been an unsuccessful application after which an amended application was approved once the planners were satisfied with regards to the potential impact on neighbour amenity. The client was however still unhappy with the position of the proposed dwelling on the site and RCC were involved in a further to amend the siting of the dwelling. The council eventually refused that application and RCC were asked to progress an appeal against the refusal.
However during that process a technical sunlight and daylight assessment was commissioned and the results were such that we advised our client to resubmit the planning application with that information rather than appeal. We were delighted that, after some further ‘toings and froings’ with the planners, permission has now been granted for the dwelling in the position the client wanted.
