There had been a previous refusal on the site for an application prepared by another consultant and RCC were asked to work with the owners and their new architect on a second application. Even a great team had come together to try and overcome the previous reason for refusal the planning officer was still recommending refusal. The local councillor became involved and brought the application to the planning committee so that they could assess the suitability of the proposal.
The architects practice, RCC and the applicant presented the case in support at the committee and there was a good debate from councillors but in the end they unanimously supported the application. Our clients were understandably relieved after a two year battle.
