After a very long journey RCC are delighted to have attained planning permission for residential use at this site. This was on of those sites were persistence paid off, plus a change in tactics.
Prior to our involvement our clients had had a number of unsuccessful application at this site, including a dismissed planning appeal. We approached the site by first attaining permission to convert the building on the left to residential use. Once that was approved we submitted a second application to covert the more modern building on the right to residential use with a proposed link structure between the two, as shown in the plan extract below.
There was extensive negotiations and discussions with the planners but when the final decision was issued to allow the approval our clients finally got the planning permission they had always wanted. This was a great start to 2025 for them and RCC.
