This has been an extremely long running saga for our clients and we are delighted that they finally have the go ahead for the proposed annex at their property. Our clients originally submitted a planning application with another agent for a new build annex building but this was refused by Windsor and Maidenhead Council for a number of reasons.
RCC were then approached to explore the option of using a timber cabin structure (which complies with the legal definition of a caravan) which should not require planning permission. This is a very complex area of planning but RCC have extensive experience in dealing with these matters and attaining certificate of lawfulness from councils for our clients. Unfortunately the council decided to refuse the application.
We considered the council had erred in law and as such we recommended that we had to pursue a formal planning appeal. RCC felt so strongly about this case that we underook the appeal on a ‘no win no fee’ basis. We were so delighted when we received the appeal decision last week that fully endorsed the case we had made.
