The building was actually located in a former farm yard adjacent to the house, which was a converted barn, and as such it was not strictly in the domestic curtilage. It was however the perfect location to locate a new two storey building our clients wanted to provide ancillary accommodation for the house.
RCC put together a robust argument in support of the proposal, drawing on our extensive experience and knowledge of the planning issues relating to annexes. We also organised an ecological survey of the building which showed no protected species using the building. As a result full planning permission was granted within the normal 8 weeks.
