Long running saga concludes with two new houses permitted in Wiltshire

The option of a planning appeal was considered after the refused planning application but RCC agreed with our client to amend the proposal and resubmit the proposal addressing the issues raised. The planning officer supported the application but it had to be referred to the planning committee due to the level of local opposition. The committee agreed to approve the application and now that an appropriate Section 106 planning agreement has been finalised permission has now been issued.

In 2013 the Government introduced new permitted development rights to allow office buildings to be converted to residential use. This was for an initial temporary period of 3 years but they subsequently made the new rights permanent in 2016.
