Our clients are a local housing association and they always looking for opportunities to maximise underutilised land such as this site to create much needed new housing.
The former council houses in the street were very well spaced out to an extent that there was room for a detached dwelling within the side garden of ones of their houses, as can be seen above. This still left more than sufficient garden space for the original property.
Whilst there were some strong local objections the planning officer agreed with us that this was a good use of land and the proposal would cause no material harm and as such approved the application under delegated powers.
