Our client had submitted the planning and listed building applications for this proposal using other agents but the application became problematic with objections from the council's conservation officer and the parish council. RCC were then approached to help deal with and overcome the objections that had been raised.
We brought in a new team of consultants (architect, heritage consultant and viability consultant) to work through and address the objections raised with us before then submitted amended proposals supported by robust supporting documents. The result was no further objections from the conservation officer or parish council and approval of the applications under delegated powers.
This is an example of where it always pays to ensure your planning and listed building applications are as robustly supported as possible before you submit such applications.
