Class Q permitted development rights were introduced to make it easier for farmers to convert agricultural buildings to dwellings but in reality the process has become hugely complicated with many applications being rejected following case law on the matter. RCC had previously submitted an application for the buildings but this had been rejected by the planners. A photo showing the type of buildings involved is shown below.
Following the first application RCC work with the client and the structural engineer to prepare an updated application that sort to address the previous concerns raised by the planners. We were therefore delighted when permission was granted for all three dwellings with no further concerns or queries raised.
