The barn was within the domestic curtilage of the our clients house and had long been used ancillary to the main house and as such this proposal had to be subject of a full planning application and considered against normal planning policies, rather than benefiting from any permitted development rights.

RCC therefore worked closely with the architect to ensure an appropriate proposal was put forward with a robust case addressing all the necessary planning issues.  As a result approval was achieved with the minimum of fuss.
