After a long period of negotiations we managed to attain full officer support for the proposal but a Section 106 Planning Legal Agreement was required to secure a number of matters for the council to issue the permission. That legal work is now complete and the permission issued with the signed legal agreement.

In 2013 the Government introduced new permitted development rights to allow office buildings to be converted to residential use. This was for an initial temporary period of 3 years but they subsequently made the new rights permanent in 2016.
