Our client had already installed the containers on the site which were used as a self-storage facility for customers. We had already attained permission under permitted development rights for the adjacent building to be converted to storage units but the issues around this type of use in the AONB was very different. RCC were able to clarify and strengthen certain aspects of concern to the council following the first application and the result was approval under delegated powers.
