Our clients had been subject to enforcement investigations concerning the use of a building for livery use on one part of their farm and the introduction of commercial uses on another part of the farm which included the conversion of two buildings and the siting of a number of storage containers, some of which can be seen below.

Some of the storage buildings at the farm

Both of the application presented a number of issues and challenges including the principle of the commercial uses, the suitability of the accesses for the proposed uses and the visual impact of the uses.

RCC carefully presented a detailed and robust case relating to both elements of the uses but also showed how the overall use of the farm was appropriate and acceptable.  Post submission negotiations were necessary but we were extremely please when the planning officer issued the planning permission for both sites.
