The yard is used for the breaking and recycling of vehicles but our client also provides cars and other vehicles to a number of fire services to use as part of their training work. As such our client needed more space to store the decontaminated vehicles so they are ready for use when required.
The area adjacent to the site was an area of grassland that needed remodelling to create the right levels and extensive ecology and landscape work was needed to build a strong case in support of the proposal.
The application process wasn't short, and there was a need to push back on some issues and undertake some amendments, but permission was granted under delegated powers.
