RCC were delighted to have attained approval for this exciting project under delegated powers well within the 8 week deadline.
The proposal involved the conversion of a historic but unlisted timber frame barn together with new ancillary buildings to provide an artist’s studio and guest accommodation following the demolition of more modern agricultural buildings.
This approach ensured a very ‘light touch’ and sympathetic conversion of the historic barn. Whilst strictly contrary to local planning policy RCC presented a strong case in support of the proposal setting out all the other material considerations that should be had regard to.
The planning officer fully endorsed the case made.
