Chandlers Farm
This proposal related to an old farm yard site near the centre of the attractive village of All Cannings. It consisted of two pleasant traditional brick buildings and other more modern utilitarian buildings. A historic planning application to convert the traditional buildings to dwellings and build a further new dwelling had previously been refused and subsequently dismissed on appeal.
RCC were asked to look at the options afresh having regard to the current local and national planning policy situation. We felt a strong case could now be made for the proposed conversions and the new build dwelling. An architect was appointed to undertake the necessary design work and an ecologist brought on board to undertake surveys and provide reports concerning protected species.
The comprehensive planning submission was made, which carefully addressed all the necessary issues. The application was successful and approved within the council’s normal timescales. Photographs of the existing buildings and extracts of the proposed drawings are shown.
