Attaining permission for a new dwelling in the countryside is one of the most difficult things to achieve in planning but that is exactly what has been achieved. It was a protracted process but the council eventually accepted the heritage benefits of the proposal, plus had regard to the fall back position of the option to convert the existing building to residential use using permitted development rights. As the officer stated in their report, this was a finally balanced case and we were extremely please when it went our clients way.
