The buildings had been in office use for many years with the client previously trying to convert them to residential use in 2005 but that application was refused. Due to a restrictive planning condition permitted development rights couldn’t be used so a full planning application was required. RCC put together a very robust and compelling case with the assistance of a viability report to address the council’s local planning policy restrictions. We were therefore delighted when the council granted planning permission under delegated powers.
