Conversion of town centre pub to mixed use allowed

The former pub use had ceased and the building was being used for retail use. It was however much too large for that use and we therefore worked with the owner to covert the building to provide a much smaller shop unit and two residential units. The proposal was carefully thought out to meet the client’s needs plus also ensure it had the best chance of getting the support of the council’s planning and conservation officers. We were extremely pleased when the permission came through.
